Curbside Recycling

Where To Place Items For Collection:

RESIDENTS MUST HAVE THEIR RECYCLABLES SET OUT
AT THE FRONT CURB BY 6:00 A.M. ON THEIR COLLECTION DAY.

The authorized 96 gallon collection cart is needed for participation in the program. One cart will be delivered to eligible St. Joseph County residents in late 2008. If you did note receive a cart, please call Borden Waste-Away Service at (574) 679-9176 to request one.

An authorized 35 gallon alternate collection is also available. Please call the Solide Waste Management District of St. Joseph County at (574) 235-9971 to inquire.

In the event that you move, please leave the collection cart at your former home to be used by the new resident.

Apartment or multi-complex housing (units of five or more per dwelling) are required to make recycling containers available near your trash dumpsters.

For drop off: A drop off option is available (for all material collected at the curbside) located at 1519 S. Franklin St., South Bend, IN 46613. South Bend Waste Paper is open between the hours of 8:00 and 4:30, Monday thru Friday. Please call 234-7181 for more information.
