Household Hazardous Waste Schedule:St. Joseph is home to a permanent HHW collection facility which
accepts various residential materials on a free drop-off basis.
Located in Mishawaka at 1105 E. Fifth Street (between Dearborn
Crane and Trailmaster), the HHW center is open Tuesday through
Saturday from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Electronics from businesses
and institutions will be accepted only through prior arrangements
with the district.
Curbside Pick-Up Recycling Program:Curbside recycling materials must be placed at the curb by 6:00 A.M. on your correct recycling day. The recycling schedule is an every other week pick-up. The first week of the calendar year is week A, the second week is week B, the following week is again week A, and so on. Collection facilities and routes are closed on national holidays which include: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (Thanksgiving day services will be delayed by one day), and Christmas.
